When I bought my MX-5 the center console hinge clip release thing (whatever you want to call it) did not "spring" back into position, it would always stay open !
So tonight I did it, I started unscrewed the center console to install the USB and Aux cable (should be here by Friday) and while I had everything undone I looked at how it worked...
Simple design ... Very simple ... Cogs were turning in my head and then they clicked. A PEG !!!
Yes a Peg ,normal washing line peg, bent it into this shape ,
You just need to bend it slightly and cut off the bends .
Spli it into place ,like so ,
And then with a little bit of adjusting for how stiff you want it ... WALLA ! done
Tomorrow I will try install the LED strips for the foot wells (Passenger and driver) and then the boot , Cheap R59 per meter 12v LED strip lights with super bright lighting

) I have hired the Rock Race way this Saturday 24 June, if you would like to come onto the track and use the strip you are welcomed to will be R300 per person.
