So I got the email that my car is ready for collection

went to go look at it and test drive, visually it is perfect (or close to it).

took the car for a test drive and while it felt and sounded all the same, once I pressed on the brake there was a slight rubbing sound ...
So left the car with Shawn so he can put it on the lift and check it ...

No it is a loud noise ,came since the accident ....

got it back at 16.45pm , the brake discs were worn and shifted with the knock ... he set them am now .... PERFECT !!!

No noise and a dream to drive again !! WOOHHOOOOOOO

Mocsa's next event will probably be the dealer launch of Imperial Mazda Germiston independent premises. End Nov & early Dec, I am awaiting a date from them. You are welcome to join, I know they plan on inviting the snobs (MX5 Cluc) as well. Maybe you guys can rub shoulders with the snobs

The MX5 is on the cards, remember Mazda SA is a new co, with a massive task at hand. Firstly they faced major challenges created by our wonderful gov. It took nearly a year to get VAT, Customs etc registrations in place. This had a ripple effect on a postponing all events, such as new dealer appointments, approval of dealer premises etc. they also had to renegotiate a interim deal with FMCSA ito servicing Mazdas until the new dealer network was finalized & operational. Their next gambit was to launch the volume seller the Mazda 3 locally. Then the FL CX5 , Mazda 6 & getting rid of the over stock of previous Mazda 2 before the launch of the new Mazda 2. The launch of the CX3 is eminent. AFAIK the new MX5 is still in the process of being approved by gov (SABS / DTI) .

Fact is although the company was born early in 2014 everything was delayed by +-9 months. We are also still engaging with them via some dealers to get them to change their part supply policy, as they initially only brought in parts for cars on sale from 2014 onward.

I am hoping to have the marketing & dealer liaison ppl from MSA @ our next IMG event, then you guys can rub shoulders with them as well.

Yeah I've been following the who saga fairly closely over the past few years. The gov always seems to hash all this stuff up. I completely understand why we get stuff in much later than everywhere else, just feeling bummed as I was so keen to go on the new MX5 press launch that was planned until we received comms letting us know that actually they're now not gonna be doing a press launch anymore.
